Group Tour: This is a small group adventure with maximum 16 travelers. Group tours offer great value, local expertise, and the chance to meet fellow travelers while maintaining some flexibility for personal exploration.
Pace: Moderate to active. This tour involves considerable walking on uneven terrain, ancient ruins, and cobblestone streets. Daily activities typically last 4-8 hours with some free time built in. You should be comfortable walking 3-5 km per day, sometimes in hot weather.
Accommodation Style: Tourist class hotels equivalent to 3-star standard, mostly centrally located. Cave hotels in Cappadocia offer unique cultural experience with modern amenities. Rooms have private bathrooms, air-conditioning or fans, and daily cleaning.
Transportation: Private air-conditioned coach or minibus depending on group size. Driving days can be long 4-5.5 hours as we cover significant distances across Turkey. Roads are generally good quality, but mountain routes can be winding.
PHYSICAL FITNESS AND HEALTH
Fitness Level Required: Moderate fitness level. You should be able to:
- Walk 3-5 kilometers per day on uneven surfaces
- Climb stairs at archaeological sites without handrails
- Handle hot weather 30-40 degrees Celsius in summer
- Walk on wet, slippery travertines at Pamukkale barefoot
- Navigate narrow passages in underground cities
Not Suitable For:
- Those with severe mobility issues or requiring wheelchair access many sites have steps and uneven terrain

RAMADAN CONSIDERATIONS
If your tour coincides with Ramadan Islamic holy month of fasting:
- Many restaurants may be closed during daylight hours
- Locals fast from dawn to sunset
- Be respectful: avoid eating or drinking publicly during fasting hours
- Iftar evening meal breaking the fast is special cultural experience
- Some sites may have reduced hours

Turkey Safety: Turkey is generally safe for tourists. Standard precautions apply:
- Watch belongings in crowded areas and tourist sites
- Use hotel safes for valuables and passports
- Be aware of pickpockets in busy markets

SOLO TRAVELERS
Solo travelers welcome on all departures. Single room supplement applies if you prefer private accommodation. We can try to match you with same-gender roommate to avoid supplement if you request at booking subject to availability.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum age 15 years. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by adult. No maximum age limit if you meet physical fitness requirements.
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking prohibited on tour vehicles. Designated smoking areas at hotels and restaurants. Be considerate of non-smoking group members.
CONTINGENCIES
Itinerary Changes: While we strive to follow the itinerary, changes may occur due to weather, road conditions, site closures, or circumstances beyond our control. Tour leader will advise of any changes.
Hot Air Balloon: Subject to weather and safety conditions. Flights cancelled by CAA Civil Aviation Authority cannot be refunded as payment made to supplier in advance. If cancelled, you can attempt to rebook for another morning subject to availability.
Hotel Changes: Hotels listed are indicative. Substitutions of similar standard may occur.
